Financial and Tax Literacy Drive

The knowledge and the cognitive understanding of basic and fundamental concepts of finance, budget and investment can largely impact the financial decisions taken by an individual or a nation. Considering the great importance that Financial and Tax Literacy carries, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has come up with a noble initiative to educate the Indian masses about the basics of Taxation, Insurance, Banking and various important subject areas of finance through the literacy drive – VitiyaGyan Abhiyaan. Highlight of the drive is that education has been imparted in different vernacular languages using the lucid language, illustrations, and videos which I am sure will have direct connect with each section of the society.

This initiative shall enable us to create a great deal of awareness and is indeed an incredible way whereby ICAI can contribute its share towards the development of the nation. I am confident with the dedicated efforts of Financial and Tax Literacy Group we shall be able to involve many more experts and volunteers turning this into a national drive.
