Hans Raj Chugh is a fellow Chartered Accountant, Fellow Company Secretary, Law Graduate and Insolvency Professional. He has more than 3 decades of experience in professional practice relating to Indirect Taxes, Foreign Trade Laws, including Foreign Trade Policy, Customs, Foreign Exchange & Management Act (FEMA), GST, Indirect Tax Related matters & Banking related laws. He is the founding partner of M/s. A S H M & Associates, Chartered Accountants, New Delhi, He serves various Indian Corporates and MNCs in his professional practice.
He is currently a Central Council Member of ICAI for the Council Term 2025-29 and nominated as a Chairman of the Board of Studies (BoS)-Academic, Dy. Convenor of Group on Development of Rural Economy and Vice-Chairman of Financial Reporting Review Board (FRRB) for the year 2025-26.
He has also served as a Central Council Member of the ICAI for the Council Terms 2019-22 & 2022-25. During his terms in 2019-22 & 2022-25, he has served various committees/board as a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Convenor & Dy. Convenor.
He has also served the profession of Chartered Accountants as a member of NIRC of ICAI for two terms i.e. 2010-13 & 2013-16 and held the position as a secretary during the period 2010-11 & Vice-Chairman during 2015-16.
He is also member of the IFAC Small and Medium Practices Advisory Group (SMPAG) for the period 2025-28.
He is a regular speaker on Goods & Services Tax (GST), Foreign Trade Policy, Customs Law, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC), Banking and other economic issues of the Nation on various platforms of professional Institutions, Educational Institutions, PSUs, Trade Bodies & Promotional Councils etc.
He is also associated with various social organizations and Business Chambers.
